Admins can choose the HubSpot property Data Parrot uses as the default deal value.

**Admins can now choose the HubSpot property Data Parrot uses as its default deal value.** The selection applies across reports, forecasts, and analysis. Pipeline Time Machine also shows when historical values need to update after a change.

## TL;DR

-   Choose the default deal value property in Settings.
-   Keep separate Amount choices in saved forecast views.
-   See a notice in Pipeline Time Machine while historical values await an update or rebuild.

## Choose the default deal value

Open **Settings > Workspace > Deal value**. Select a property under **HubSpot deal property**, then click **Save**.

Available properties include **Amount**, **Amount in company currency**, and eligible custom numeric deal properties classified as amount fields.

Saving changes the default selection in Data Parrot. It does not change property values in HubSpot or trigger a bulk recalculation of deal analysis.

## Keep separate Amount choices in forecasts

The **Amount** controls in **AI Forecast** and **Forecast Workspace** remain available. You can choose a different amount property for an individual forecast view.

An explicit choice in a saved view stays separate from the default selected in Settings. Changing the default does not replace that saved choice.

## See when historical values are updating

After the default property changes, **Pipeline Time Machine** displays a notice when historical values are awaiting an update or rebuilding. Historical totals may be incomplete until the update finishes.

## Where to find it

Open **[Workspace Settings](https://app.dataparrot.ai/settings/workspace)** to choose the default deal value property. Only admins can change this setting.

Use the **Amount** controls in **[AI Forecast](https://app.dataparrot.ai/ai-forecast)** and **[Forecast Workspace](https://app.dataparrot.ai/forecast-workspace)** for per-view choices. Historical update notices appear in **[Pipeline Time Machine](https://app.dataparrot.ai/pipeline-time-machine)**.
