Data Parrot MCP
Use Data Parrot from Claude, Codex, Grok, or ChatGPT to ask questions about your revenue data.
Data Parrot MCP lets you use Data Parrot from AI tools such as Claude, Codex, Grok, and ChatGPT. You can connect more than one and ask about deals, pipeline movement, forecasts, qualifying HubSpot sales goals when available, sales activity, customer health, and win/loss patterns from any connected tool.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is the connection that lets an AI tool request data from Data Parrot. You do not need to install or run a separate Data Parrot service.
Before you connect: A HubSpot account is required to connect Data Parrot MCP. Revenue-data access through Data Parrot MCP is read-only. Anyone with access to this MCP connection can access all Data Parrot data for this workspace, including all synced HubSpot data. Data Parrot cannot synchronize or enforce HubSpot per-user permissions in MCP. Requesting workspace access records a request and contacts workspace admins.
Requirements
To start the connection, you need:
- a HubSpot account
- a Data Parrot Pro or Max workspace for revenue-data access
- one or more supported AI tools
- permission to add a connector, plugin, or MCP server in each tool
If you do not have a Data Parrot workspace yet, sign in with HubSpot and follow the Connect HubSpot link. Connecting HubSpot creates your workspace. Revenue-data tools become available after the workspace is upgraded to Pro or Max. If a workspace already exists for that HubSpot account, you can request access from its admins.
What can I ask about?
Your connected AI tools can use Data Parrot to answer questions in these areas:
| Data area | Example questions |
|---|---|
| Open deals | Find, group, and review current open deals and Data Parrot deal signals. |
| Deal timelines | Review CRM changes, customer engagements, and Data Parrot AI assessments for a specific deal. |
| Forecast and goals | Review forecast totals, supporting deals, and qualifying HubSpot sales goals when available. |
| Pipeline history | Compare historical pipeline snapshots, movement, and stage changes. |
| Sales activity | Review meetings, calls, emails, created deals, and created leads for a date range. |
| Customer Health | Find or group companies using the Customer Health data available in the workspace. |
| Win/loss | Review closed-won or closed-lost deals and common primary signals. |
| Data definitions | Check which fields, custom properties, and data areas are available. |
Some answers may use only part of a large result. The AI tool should tell you when a limit affects its answer.
How does the connection work?
- Choose one or more AI tools you want to use.
- Add the Data Parrot server address in each tool's connector settings.
- Sign in with HubSpot and review the requested Data Parrot access.
- If you have more than one active workspace, choose which workspace to connect.
- Ask questions about your Data Parrot data from any connected tool.
Each AI tool connection keeps its selected workspace until you explicitly switch it. Changing workspaces in the Data Parrot web app does not change the workspace used by an existing connection.
